We at Lock 'n Load Publishing are truly amazed at the lack of any thought that has gone into this. Enough is enough so we are giving away our only Print and Play Civil War game for free. Hi all, I have just uploaded the new build 5.0.16 to LNL. Please allow a few days for them to build their installer. Primarily this patch fixes the CTD introduced in the last one when I modified the resupply code. It should also ensure that EstabEditor is the release version an not the debug version. It should now ensure that it uses the VS2010 vcredit package to install the correct dlls. This should fix the "ordinal" issue we had for a few users. Changes: *...

We have printed (and played) a number of Hex & Counter war games, and made lots of expansion counters and scenarios for games I already own. I have developed tested methods, which make the process crazy quick and stupid simple. Might as well share what I know. We are using a standard Print n Play game using Checkpoint Calvi as an example, since the basics apply to any PNP Hex & Counter game. The expanded Checkpoint Calvi scenario is a 14-page PDF, although three pages are repeated. Included...

Hi all, Build 5.0.15 is on the way. LNL have to do their magic with the installers. Please be patient. Note once LNL have prepared them there should be three new installers. One for the Core and one for the Bastogne module and another for the Ride of the Valkyries module. Changes: * ScenSupplyTransportEvent now recalcs supply route if the recipient has moved further than 300m from his original location * Turned off BringIntoView() for selections on OB Display. This stops the map jerking...

In March of 2011, Libyans in opposition to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and his government took up arms. For eight months, the opposition, fighting under an interim governing body, the National Transitional Council (NTC), fought Colonel Gaddafi’s Loyalist forces all across the country. In October, during a fierce battle in the coastal city of Sirte, Gaddafi was captured and killed. Lock ʼn Load: Days of Villainy depicts four of the fierce battles that occurred during the Libyan...

I have managed to finish my game of Manhay Crossroads at last. After a shaky start I managed to get ahead of my schedule again. I have relearnt two important things playing this scenario. 1. How important it is to support the Armour with infantry especially at night. I found I had to re structure the Bn's to ensure that each had an armoured unit and an infantry one. Also because of the quantity of forested areas I often found I had to mix and match the dismounted infantry with the armour... After Action Report On Command Ops 2 - Manhay Crossroads Axis Victory...

On November 19th, 1941, as the sun rose over a new day in the Libyan Desert, a clock was ticking in the headquarters of the British Eighth Army. They had done the impossible and surprised Erwin Rommel, the Desert Fox, slipping nearly five hundred tanks behind his lines. The opportunity to crush the Afrika Korps lay within their grasp... Last weekend I saw something at Pueblo Guns and Ammo store that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 20th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Tara. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse-sized taser. The effects of the taser were supposed to be short lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety....? WAY TOO COOL! Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home. I...

Jim Zabek introduces himself and discusses new features of the forums. These new features include the ability to publish articles, which will be used to support games and discuss items of interest in the community. The first thing to pop into my head when I thought about introducing myself around here. I’m not the kind of guy who naturally draws attention to myself. Typically I just write something and let it fling into the ether. More often than not it’s an...
