Reading page 26 of new 5.0 version rules regarding when units can Rally and see this:

"Eligible Shaken units locked in Melee (8.0/1) can attempt to rally."

How is it possible for there to be an eligible Shaken unit in Melee???

Some units, in some modules have the special ability to attempt a rally if the enemy tries to melee them. If they fail to rally they are eliminated just like regular shaken units, but if they manage to rally then they get to fight the melee.

Ok--I did see a scenario special rule for LRRP units being allowed to attempt SR if they are Shaken and attacked in Melee, but was not seeing anything in the 5.0 rules regarding this. Thanks for the quick reply.

Okay I haven’t download the version 5 Rules so I’m saying this without reading them, this reads to me to mean in a melee which carries over until the next turn if say a side has a GO Leader a GO squad and a Shaken squad the shaken squad can attempt to rally in the rally phase?
