Got it about engaged escorts (how I was playing this ),
The ability to have a wingman become the lead in an engaged situation is a great subtle tactic !
Thanks

Hi Tony!
For interceptors variant, the die rolls for the type of interceptors are not cumbersome ( I chest and roll multiple dice at once).
The opportunity to engage different fighter types seems more interesting and feels right.
For example, using this system, for a 1943 encounter, I rolled...
here are two variants I am tinkering with.
1. Interceptor types: I used the following to determine multiple types of intercetors in a single fighter encounter
A. Roll for number of interceptors first
B. Then roll this number of dice to determine type of interceptors (ex. I roll a 6 for...
1. When a damaged fighter receives a second damage result during fighter vs fighter combat, is it destroyed? (I assumed so but did not find it in the new rules).
2. Can damaged escorts that are engaged with undamaged interceptors disengage?

2. Can it direct fire a smoke mission beyond the one Hex range (per other units that are smoke capable; I assume so )
3. Can it fire an indirect fire mission as smoke?
4. Does a mortar smoke mission only occupy one...

I've used the distance of my...
per the general rules, P-38 are not available until turn 7.
Per the Escort Rendezvous chart, on turns 1-6, a 1D6 roll of 6 results in a P-38 type.
Is this correct?
Mike
Thanks David!
Though from my enjoyment of Erik's PnP and the preview of the components and the evolution of this game, i would pay any asking price.
LnL is a great fit for this game as Erik is extremely assessable and supportive of the original game and LnL has evolved into a superb...
