    SITREP

Sorry to hear about the hardware issues. I know from personal experience how debilitating they can be. Hopefully from here both your health and that of the hardware remain steady. In the meantime, we'll be here when the next iteration of your amazing simulation whenever it is ready. Thank...

    SITREP

Not much to add other than I agree with your method. Prioritize the release of the existing improvements, and then work on the new flanking logic when you can. Sounds great!

Beautiful. You made threads with new messages stand out, and clicking on them takes you to the first unread. Thanks!

Problem with DLC Knock on all doors

Also, be advised, the Beta branch is currently incomplete... see my post #20, above. If you go that route, you need to also manually download and copy the two map files attached to Keydet's posts #8 & !0. Ideally, you will also need to generate cache files for the new maps per his...

Problem with DLC Knock on all doors

Unfortunately adding the two map files attached above don't really help in the case of the Steam installation. There's nothing to tell the Decision at Bullingen to use the new Nordkurz.cop (I assume since it worked without it that is was using Nord.cop?) There's also no Operation Tourist...

Problem with DLC Knock on all doors

Interesting, thanks for posting the notes/what's new. I originally purchased CO2 years ago direct from LnL... I think there were five modules at the time. I transitioned to the Steam version when it became available, apparently foolishly thinking that would make keeping up-to-date easier, and...

Problem with DLC Knock on all doors

This thread has left me very confused. I have all seven released modules, yet my map folder has neither Manderfeld.cop nor Nordkurz.cop. Despite this, Decision at Bullingen loads and starts just fine with no error. To further the confusion, I have no scenario titled Operation Tourist, despite...

    New Forum Version Going Live

I'm probably missing something, but I know there used to be a way to jump to the first unread message in a thread. I can't find any way to do that with the new forum.

    SITREP

Just wanted to pass along my best wishes to Dave, and everyone affected by the fires. Command Ops, and your writing, helped me through some tough times. I hope this ordeal is over soon, and as painlessly as possible.

    Warner's World sci-fi books by Dave O'Connor

Little bummed there has not been more talk about the books here, but I finished book 3 last week and pre-ordered book 4. Insurrection started a bit slow, but built nicely and was still a fun read. Best part is that I am fully invested in the story and look forward to finding out what comes...

It was down for more than a week, but seems to be back now. No new content, though.

    Command Ops Magazine/pdf

Well, he wouldn't have to worry about competing with Armchair General, as that went defunct at the beginning of this year... ;-)

Beautiful, thanks for putting that together.

    Warner's World sci-fi books by Dave O'Connor

Now you're just teasing... don't worry, book 3 is already pre-ordered. :) It really would make a great game setting, even if it is a while before you have time to tackle it.

    Warner's World sci-fi books by Dave O'Connor

Well, if you ever decide to go the Kickstarter route for it, consider me a backer. I'm really enjoying the world you've created, and as I read the battle scenes, I can't help but think of them as great AAR's for what could be an amazing sci-fi game... or series of games for that matter, because...

    Warner's World sci-fi books by Dave O'Connor

Finished book 2 today, and can't wait for the third in January! What chance do we have for a sci-fi operational game based on Warner's World at some point? ;-)

    Warner's World sci-fi books by Dave O'Connor

As a side note, it would be great if Dave got together with an artist so make some illustrations of the ships, weapons and gear used in the books.

    Warner's World sci-fi books by Dave O'Connor

Finally got to read it on vacation, and I liked it a lot. Review is up on Amazon, and I'm really looking forward to book 2. Already have it pre-ordered.

    Warner's World sci-fi books by Dave O'Connor

I'm impressed by what I've seen so far. I just started playing Homeward Remastered this weekend, and this seems right down that alley. My reading backlog is a bit piled up right now, but I have a vacation coming up that should help alleviate some of that. I've seen enough to give book 1 a try.

    Latest Manual

I must have gotten it just as you uploaded the complete version. It finished downloading, and I couldn't figure out why you said it only went to p.178 when mine had 212 pages complete with credits. Nice job! Now I just have to figure out how to play effectively...
