Number of vehicles in a platoon represented?

So a platoon of 3 of Tank A would be as effective as a platoon 5 of Tank A. That seems a little broad, but I have my answer. Thank you

Number of vehicles in a platoon represented?

I'm curious if anyone knows whether or not the size of the platoon is reflected in the numbers on the counter. I come from a miniatures background where platoons are of a fixed size (4-5) vehicles and the number of platoons is adjusted accordingly. For example, a Soviet tank company in a tank...

Made a VirtualTableTop Can I use StarterKit?

Hi Mark, I've only had a chance to give it a preliminary look, but what I've seen so far, I like. A lot. I've always preferred Zun Tzu's method of moving and scrolling the map. I can't seem to get more than one of each unit on the map. If I repeat the "Move Chit" process, it looks like it's...

Made a VirtualTableTop Can I use StarterKit?

Wow, well done! I really hope LnL don't have a problem with you distributing it. If you need someone to help you beta test, just let me know. Again, beautifully done.

White background square beneath some FP numbers

I'm not positive, but if you look at the "Moving Fire" table on p. 68, it appears to represent vehicles with advanced fire control that allows them to fire on the move with less of a penalty. If true, then the three levels of moving fire would be: Short Halt; Basic Fire Control System (Pact)...

    Counter Compatibility

Does anyone know if the counters from Desert Heat and Stalin's Triumph are compatible, or are the units rated differently?

Just to share with you guys...

That is extremely well done. That would actually make a pretty cool game.

Thanks, DigitalRommel, that's a really good point about the NG battalions. Thanks for the help.

    Soviet Use of 4-Tank Platoons

I've seen in various references that the Soviets changed over their 3-tank platoons for 4-tank ones in the 80s but I can't find any information on whether this was ever put in place and, if so, on what scale. Does anyone have any background on this? Thanks.

    VASSAL question 'Hell Frozen Over'

Hi wokman, In the folder where you have the Vassal mod, create another folder that has the name of the module (without the vmod extension) and add "_ext" (without the quotes). So, for example, if your mod is AVslMod_v2.2.4.vmod, then your new folder would be AVslMod_v2.2.4_ext. Then put the...

WaW T-72 vs Abrams Probability Tables

I feel like I've read in one of the Compendiums an article that breaks down the hit probabilities for the T-72 and the Abrams (odds of 1, 2, 3 hits etc.), but I can't find it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can find the article?

    Additional WaW formations?

I'm recovering from a hard drive crash and am trying to rebuild my collection of community-made WaW formations. I have the basic files from boardgamegeek, including Sea to Sky, but I'm sure that in my old collection there were a number of new Soviet (and possibly NATO) formations, but I can't...
