Kontact Now - Fire Team: Red Eclipse that's the name of the first game.

Soon, it will be sitting on your game table and the smoke will be rising from the map!!

Small unit action in 1989 from the most dangerous combat theater ever imagined.

You are that Leader!!

They are YOUR BOOTS on that ground! You are known to your troops as Commander!!

Take command of small US or Soviet battle groups that include fire teams of appropriately equipped infantry, have them supported by the Armored Fighting Vehicles of the time, as well as all the support weapons they can carry. Call in Close Air Support or have helicopters hovering overhead.

Your troops will follow your orders. All they are waiting for is for you to give them.

Here is the list of orders you can give. Now go and complete your mission!

Good Hunting.

What will the counters represent? Single men or teams or squads? Leader counters? Support weapons as separate counters?

The series shows the evolution of combat from the 1930's through near future. It starts with squads and then progresses to Fire Teams as the tactical doctrine of the world's military's evolves.

Fire Team: Red Eclipse has Fire Teams as the main maneuver element.

Each of these counter types will be represented in the game with it's own counter.

Single person counters include:
Leaders
Medics
Forward Observers
Snipers

Multi person counters include:
Fire Teams
Crews
Wounded

Support Weapon counters include:
AT-4's
Antitank Guided Missiles
LAW's
RPG's
Man Portable Antiaircraft Missiles
Satchel Charges
RPO - flamerockets
Light/Medium/Heavy machine guns

Vehicle counters include:
Tanks
Trucks
Utility Vehicles
Infantry Fighting Vehicles
Armored Personnel Carriers
Recon
Surface to Air Missile
Self Propelled Artillery
Self Propelled Mortars
Helicopters

Good Hunting.

Good stuff!

Is Red Eclipse going to have mostly rural type maps or is there going to be fighting on dense urban maps as well.

The game will come with at least 4 maps. They are a blend of rural to urban. Mixed hills, and forest.

There are 12 scenarios set on the 4 maps currently.

Good Hunting.

In addition to the counters in the game each side will have a Tactical Event Card deck. Each Tactical Event Card deck for any organization in any theater for any time covered will have 50 cards. The decks are all fine tuned to that particular organizations capabilities.

There are 37 different types of events. Of course not all of those will make an appearance in each deck.

For instance the Viet Cong don't have a Tactical Event Card for Close Air Support.

Good Hunting.

The original Fire Team game was great, and a shame it never was expanded. It was my favorite game, until Lock n Load came out. The changes and evolution of the system Steve has described makes the game system sound even better. Can't wait to see the final product. Great work Steve
