This chart may help, although you it seems you don't need it...

There is one omission on the chart (which was my fault). [14.2.1] Ordnance that primarily fires HEAT ammunition subtracts 1 from their HE-equivalent when attacking infantry NOT located in Buildings, Huts, Bunkers, or Caves. Note that one is subtracted from the HE-equivalent NOT the to-hit roll.

That's a very good question. I was so wrapped up in the mechanics of the attack that I overlooked that part completely. My understanding is that no, it cant be fired from inside a building.

All I can say is firing the M-72 LAW when I was in AIT was, well, a blast! I missed the target with the first two but was "bang" on with the thrid one. Yes, it was fun.
