    I use the windows Magnify app in lens mode and it works great. You can adjust its size and magnification. I'm using a Microsoft mouse with 8.1 and Magnify is one of the choices for the wheel when pressed as a button. In windows 7 with a Wacom Intuous 4 tablet mouse Magnify is not a choice...

    Do a search of game support for mfc100, there was a similar post in March. If I understood correctly, placing mfc100.dll in the main CO2 directory solved the problem.

    Contour lines

    As a temporary solution, a transparent overlay of contours that could be turned on and off would help, even if the contours were just the boundaries of the map layer elevations, as it is difficult to distinguish the slight variation in color depicting elevation in the presence of forests.
