Assuming all the other distortion issues come from just the stretching, maybe the easiest solution would be to keep the menu screen in a fixed aspect ration (16x9) and just have black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.

Also on a 1920X1200 monitor, it seems like it's vertically stretched from a native 1080p image. Monty looks even taller and thinner than usual...

Just to clarify David, does that mean that the proposed fee for upgrading data packs as the engine itself is upgraded is no longer happening, i.e. the capped $50 fee for the bi-annual upgrades? If so, that makes me very happy and the Commander Pack becomes an instant purchase for me.

Well, maybe for the initial purchase $100 as opposed to $50 (again a very generous number, but keeping into account most of us would have already purchased the games from Matrix, so this is basically an upgrade for us.) And say, if a module is going to cost $30, maybe allow a "future proof"...

Yeah, as much as I dislike the model, I'll at least give it a shot with the initial $50 dollar offer, which is generous even for us who have bought the previous games. That said, I probably will hold back at least a few upgrade cycles at that point, just to see how this how thing plays out...
