    NaW Digital Bug List

I noticed the back and forth behaviour as well, the last time in the Nuts! scenario. As soon as the AI reached the same hex column as my foremost units, it just backtracked, as if it tried to keep my units ahead of it at all times – a problematic course of action in a scenario that can only be...

    LnLT Digital Bug List

Hey! Can't give you specifics since it happened yesterday, and only today I thought of submitting a report – what can I say, I'm not a very smart bear. Macbook Pro running OSX Catalina, Overlord Begins scenario (though I suspect it's not scenario specific) my chance to hit the German vehicle...

    Mac

Chiming in to report that I play on a Macbook Pro via VMWare Fusion and it runs like a charm – fantastic performance. The game's requirements are pretty low, so there is no need to use BootCamp and actually reboot to run windows natively.

    Unit strength and objective control

Hey Dave! Thanks bunches for the swift reply :) To be completely honest I haven't a clue — it's a very difficult problem to solve. So, once it's made clear that I don't have a satisfactory answer, here are the only approaches I can think of at the moment: - Lower the "weight" for the...

    Unit strength and objective control

Hello everyone! Sorry if this is more or less commonly known, but I have searched around and I couldn't find anything on the subject, so here goes: is unit strength taken into account when calculating the occupation of objectives? I'll give a quick example — in one of the smallish scenarios, I...

    A Collection of Tactical Heuristics

I suppose the idea is making the defenders' calmness run out before their targets run out, then :D And aye, after reading your comments, I suppose this is somewhat reflected in-game just by making more experienced units better at assaulting stuff. My doubt remains whether a single company...

    A Collection of Tactical Heuristics

Hey Peter! Agreed, that is why I said the concept typically reminds us of platoon-level engagements (bounding overwatch was sort of the bread and butter of Combat Mission, for example) and asked whether it actually was abstracted in the regular "attack" order in Command Ops 2 when you assault...

    Transparent planning overlay

Oh man, I would absolutely love that. Drawing stuff on maps whether necessary or not has always been half the fun of strategy games for me. As a friend of mine always says when we play HoI3, "If wars can be won by drawing arrows, we'll be in Berlin before Christmas" :D

    A Collection of Tactical Heuristics

Great info there! Thanks, Dave and Kurt And aye, I have never used leapfrogging as gospel — sometimes it is not practical, and there is also the situation in which your OOB grants you the luxury of an ideal overwatch element, such as a heavy weapons company, that you want to keep in position...

    A Collection of Tactical Heuristics

A truly fantastic summary, Iconoclast! Although I have a degree in Military History, I have never served in the Armed Forces, so these are rules I have mostly had to either infer, or study in long and awkward manuals — FM 3-0, Operations, springs to mind as one of the most relevant for the...

Question about CommOps2 and the store

Thanks, mate! That about answers everything. If it is so, I really like how LnL found a way to balance out the protection of its product and the convenience of their customers — the system looks pretty straightforward and more than fair. I am pretty much sold on the commander pack now, so I...

    Scenario Listings for each Module

Impressive lineup! I like the numerous small scenarios, which should be pretty noob-friendly — I just started playing the thing, and I am still learning the ropes. Although I'll probably be getting the commander pack, it may be worth pointing out, if anyone knows, which scenario pack is better...

Question about CommOps2 and the store

Hey there! Before anything else, let me apologise if this has been answered before, or I am in the wrong forum section — it is my first post here, and I have tried Command Ops 2 core for the first time just today, so it is more than likely that I am being an annoying rookie posting this. So...
