I can not get the HQ and free activation to work. If I move the HQ all adjacent units still cost activations to move, the HQ activation button does not make much difference.
What do I do wrong?

In the old v2.0, all Soviet support weapons from HotM is missing and the 1-3-4-4 half squad have the wrong cost. I hope these are fixed in the new version.
You are correct. There are other differences too, mortar SW does not place FFE marker.
My guess is that they have been modeled differently due to their use. I would guess that the WT has access to a lot more ammunition than the squad with an SW mortar. Therefore they get the FFE marker and have...

I agree with you that it looks like the rules cover thermal sights. It would be interesting to know why other night equipment was not addressed. I looked through the scenario book and did not find a single scenario that took place during the night ... that might be the explanation.

Today during setup all counters are put on the board in an unorganized manner. I have to sort the counters manually before I can do my deployment.
I would prefer to have a window like that you get with reinforcements.
