Van Limpt, it has been a while since I used the editor, but I imagine that it would be no problem to implement. As far as I'm concerned you can certainly make adjustments to my scenario.
If you find that the AI concentrates its forces to much at lesser objectives. These are the things you can do:
- Change the priority of the objective to low or even minimum. This will directly affect how many units (if any) the AI will place in the objective radius.
- At the same time change...
Good to hear! Playtesting is a crucial but in my mind one of the hardest things to do in scenario creation. Good luck and I hope to be trying out your scenario soon.
This is what happened to me as well when I started creating scenarios. I'd make this awesome map, thinking that I'd be halfway through scenario creation, but then it hit me that I still needed to make the whole OOB, position the units and take care of objective placements and the sorts.
Just a...
You can do it in the mapmaker: go to map in the toolbar and select "Calculate Terrain Tables". There you can change the grid size from the standard 100 to anything you like.
My "Benouville - Ranville Bridges" map has a grid size of 25. For such a small and detailed scenario it had to be done...
The only trigger I can think of, and it is kind of finicky, is to put objectives on the map where the retreating forces should head to. Put in the time and date to correspond with the historical troop withdrawal and make it so that other objectives end, so that units don't linger in places you...
Good to have you here on the forums.
Seeing that I kind of have a bond with the Philippines I would love to play some scenarios from that side of the world. Be sure to check Jim's Saipan scenario. Its estab has japanese forces, but I guess they would be more for '44 in stead of '41.
You are right. You must understand that the game divides everything on the map in squares of a 100m x100m. You can see that if you use the pathing tool ingame/scenmaker. You will see minute red dots and a green line signifying the route the unit will take. The green line will always cling to...
The last couple of days I've been looking into putting another scenario in this pack. I want to recreate the push north by Kampfgruppe Rauch (192 PzGren) on the 6th of June. It would be a quite small scenario in terms of units (about 2 brigs vs 2 brigs) and time (10 to 12 hours). I've got the...
1. Yes, you don't need to put in bridges for motorized units to be able to cross streams or even minor rivers.
2. It depends on what you want to achieve. I only tend to use the major rivers (impassable without a bridge) if it is an actual really wide river/canal. If the seizing of a bridge was...
For the moment it is still in closed beta. Ioncore (Feathergrass) will publish one more update and at that time the workshop manager will be opened up to the public. It should only be a couple of days off.
I've played the first day as the Germans and I liked it so far. I've played it quite conservatively but still managed to secure both bridges and enter the center of Namur by nightfall. The bridge at Naméche was to well guarded and remained in Allied hands.
I've also taken a look at the...
Good to hear you're having fun with the game. As far as I know they should be compatible. I'm hoping that with the next update the game gets updated to the latest version on the LnL site. That way all people can play my scenario packs.
First things first, great job on the map. It is beautifully made and very detailed, I like it. Knowing the region a little bit I can definitely see the resemblances from reality. I'll probably take a shot at playing it tomorrow.
When you're done with it, be sure to upload it to Steam Workshop...
