Weapon Team inside the bunker. Shaken German squad in hex. French squad moves into hex. We assumed melee was immediate and no chance for WT to fire. So the shaken German squad and French squad get a melee counter and the shaken guys are eliminated. Melee marker still exists.
So neither the weapon team nor anyone else can shoot into that hex at this point right? WT in the bunker are NOT in melee so can they shoot out of the hex?

Later in the game, the situation looks like this with a broken French squad in hex. Can he stay there since the bunker is a "separate" hex, meaning they are adjacent so he doesn't have to move away?

Yes, the WT can shoot out of that hex.

Visualize that the Bunker and the surrounding hex is similar to a two story building with the Bunker and surround hex as ground hex and upper level hex. It appears to be the same hex, however it is not.
