My assessment at the moment is that we might pull it off. There's two and a half hours left to clear and hold Exits 1 and 2. In an hour and half they start landing on the beach. As soon as the Exit objectives expire my aim will be to send those men previously tasked with holding them to St.Mere Eglise, where the attack has run into difficulties, and the Canal de Carentan, where the Engineers scouted in force and met strong opposition. The first priority now is to clear the causeway control circles.
