FIXED 5.1.126 - commandops.exe has stopped working

Hello, huge fan of CO2 here.

I am having issues running the scenario "Marsa el Brega." It keeps shutting down around daybreak on day 2.

I have run other "cauldron" scenarios with no issues, as well as other scenarios from other modules with no issues.

Any ideas?

This is interesting because I get this same error message in the problem I reported a couple of threads ago. Not a CTD but the game stops working nevertheless.

Greg, got your save...thanks. Your email said you get the error a few minutes later. It's been running now for nearly two hours of game time without an error. Can you get the error just by setting the game to run fast, with no interactions?

Hi Dave, I sent you my save as well.

So I was playing greyhound dash tonight and on the morning of day 3 the same thing happened. Hopefully this can be an easy fix, love the game.

Dave I never just let the game run. I play on the first two speeds and the game stops when I am actively clicking on screen. My thought was that my interacting was causing the problem.

Sorry Dave, i have been away for a few days. I will try to let the save I sent you run on fast with out my interaction and see what happens.

Hello all, is there another (better) way i should be trying to resolve technical issues? I am really wanting to explore CO2 but I keep getting "commandops.exe" has stopped working. I sent screen shots and saved game files to support@panthergames.com. Been about 5 days now, was hoping to get some help.

i tried a complete reinstall of everything and my game crashed right away. Looks like I'll have to put this on hold for a while.

Greg, I need to know exactly the steps you did prior to it crashing, so I can get it to repeat. If I can't get it to repeat there is almost no chance of me fixing it.

Guy, does this happen on any scenario other than Marsa el Brega?

happened with both Marsa & Greyhound Dash. I believe I sent you both my save files. I haven't tried other scenarios yet because I figured the same thing would happen. I can though, if you want.

Merry Christmas. I'm sure we will figure this out. I'm a huge fan of the game. Thanks for creating it.

with Marsa and Greyhound Dash, I changed the reinforcement settings prior to start. So, i thought maybe that was the issue. I tried a fast run-through of Race for the Sur scenario, with default settings, and it played through with problems. Then I went and tried Marsa, default settings, and it crashed at D2 2:17.
i will send you my save files from each game.

I'm hoping this is in fact already fixed in 5.1.125. This should have been out before Xmas but Jason at LNL has had some problems with the files. I have emailed him now to see where he got to. But please be patient. It's Xmas everywhere. :)
