Hello, I have seen the list on BGG that shows all the games and expansions and what expansion goes with what game. I am looking for the order in which the games/scenarios should be played to represent the storyline of the World at War saga. I assume it starts with Eisenbach gap and ends (so far) with America Conquered. does the BGG list show the order? any help would be appreciated. Peace

I've been considering this series for a while, but as I'm more into naval warfare it's been low on my priority list. However, the Texan War of Independence struck a chord with me... I'm a compulsive collector with latent OCD tendencies. Reviewing the product pages, I've mapped the games and expansions and came up with the following listing of base games and applicable expansions: Eisenbach Gap Deluxe 1. The Texan War of Independence So, it seems to me that for someone just getting into the series the logical order to purchase the base games and expansions would be: 1. Eisenbach Gap Deluxe 2. Blood and Bridges 3. Battles within Battles 4. Operation Garbo 5. The Untold Stories 6. Into the Breach 7. Counterattack 8. Paris is Burning 9. America Conquered 10. I'd hold off on buying those (Comp 1 and 2) until I had The Untold Stories, if i was working down your list. Blood and Bridges opens up the Baltic Fury Line of Fire expansion too.
Unfortunately, several of the core games are currently out of stock (we are working on that) so it does create a bit of a problem. The list over at BGG ( https://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/52636/waw-scenario-guide ) will say what each scenario from the compendiums need, (basically EG and BnB for C1, lot more for C2). As for the order to purchase stuff (working within the limitations of what is in stock), you could try to go in a given order or also just start with what interests you topic/theme wise. Don't care about the Americans but love the BAOR... skip EG and get Blood and Bridges. Really want the French... then Paris is Burning and The Untold Stories.
Matt, As much as it insults my OCD, you may be right. As it was the Texan War of Independence that caught my eye, I might perhaps start with America Conquered. I'll have to give this more thought....
Okay... I ordered America Conquered and the Texan War of Independence. The reviews on Board Game Geek have me a little apprehensive, but I'm hoping that the issues have been addressed over the past two years. We'll see how it goes.
