From reading rule 9.1.10, the second attack between escort fighters and interceptors you reassign which aircraft are being attacked. The third paragraph says:
....return to step 9.1.8 position escort fighters .... I assume that should be 9.1.6 since there is no 9.1.8.
My question is: for the second attack of interceptors against bombers, 9.2.8 says there is a second attack and I assume that the interceptors restart at 9.2.1 and randomly select the second attack bombers from Table 6.3. They do not automatically attack the same bomber as they did in the first attack. Is that correct?
Is that correct?
Thanks

Hi Tom, yes correct on both.
#1 for second round of Fighter vs Fighter Air Combat restart at 9.1.6 Position Fighters
----there is a rule 9.1.8 but I agree that it's two steps too far along the combat sequence so restarting back at 9.1.6 is correct, thanks
#2 for second round of Fighter vs Bomber restart at 9.2.1 Interceptors Select Bombers

Just think of it as the aircraft are in a big swirling dogfight, zooming around making gun runs at each other, so after the first few shots they break off and search for other targets. Thanks - Tony
