Slight clarification on this rule

rules state that
Soviet, Pact and Pact allied Heavy Armor vehicle units ONLY receive a +1 to a Heavy Armor vehicle unit FP dice in a stack with another Heavy Armor vehicle of the same nation. Both units are marked Ops Complete after a Volley Fire is executed.

so...does that mean both Heavy Armor vehicle units receive a +1 to FP if conditions are met...or does the 2nd Heavy Armor vehicle just confer the +1 to the 1st Heavy Armor vehicle and the 2nd Heavy Armor vehicle doest fire at all (due to both being marked Ops Complete)

Hi Devin, the latter, one unit fires with +1 AP FP because of the other unit's additional shots; both have, in effect, fired and so are both Ops Complete.

Good question!

Hmmm...tough call to make then at times....sacrificing another units chance to fire to just get a +1 FP. I can see it being a conditional thing...against units that are in high defense areas or with a lot of defensive dice rolls....where you would want more FPs to get more hits at one time to overcome the defense rolls.....

Exactly. Thats the tactical choice that is presented. We found it useful in testing where we felt it would be in the real world: when up against Improved Positions, as you say. :)
