Here's what I have for the LOS rules for Walls from the TEC

If this is the situation (US firing at Germans) . . .

Would LOS be blocked?

I have a POV, but I wanted to get the community's ruling.

Thanks!

Hi Ty!
LOS is NOT blocked cause it is "part" of the target's hex.
Though it is hindered by the cemetery IIRC
LOS is not blocked if the wall is an hexside of the target and/or firer hex. Apply TEM!!!!

Got it. I guess I botched the interpretation.

I read it as "Does not block LOS to a hex in which the Wall forms a hexside when traced FROM a hex through a Wall that forms one of the hex's sides"

when I should have read it:

1) Does not block LOS to a hex in which the Wall forms a hexside
2) when traced FROM a hex through a Wall that forms one of the hex's sides

Those are two different conditions not a single combined condition.

Oh well, live and learn.

They are the same thing: To or From.

Simpler: for LOS purposes you do not have to consider the obstacles on the firing and target unit’s hex (but you do have to consider the height of the units).
