When calculating terrain tables, what does the "terrain grid size" do?
What does "bitmaps across" do?

I have noticed that on maps from the old engine, the lighter the color of the ground the higher the elevation/altitude. But in the map maker it is the opposite. Is that a design choice and in that case why? To me it is more intuitive to have brighter color on higher elevations (gets more light...
I have started to have a look at the map maker and am considering a long term project to recreate the British sector of the D-day landings. So a few questions and advice:
Can I import terrain features someone else has created (bocage)? Right now I can only use the terrain features of the module...
In short, does old community made scenarios work with the new engine? If not, can they be converted and in that case how? Saw a D-Day beach landing scenario that I am very keen on playing.
According to the manual you should be able to zoom in and out using Alt+left click/right click. It doesn't work for me. Latest game engine version / Market Garden module.

Two things have come to mind that I would like to have included in the game is:
Option for automatic pause when reinforcements arrive (I tend to miss them from time to time).
More gradual speed setting. I often find that speed 1 is too slow and speed 2 is too fast. Maybe a 5 setting scale?
I'm about to buy my first module but find that the product info for modules lacking in more detailed about scenarios (location, objectives, size, timeframe, maps etc.). Is there info like that to be found somewhere?
I have begun to enjoy the game (engine only so far) and two things came to mind: 1) one more zoom level (requested by others) and 2) a rewind function as you easily miss action taking place somewhere else if you want to monitor one area closely.

Just installed the game engine to give it a go and decide on purchases. It installed ok, but when I try to launch the exe I get an error message that the program won't launch due to "mfc120.dll" missing. How can I solve this?
