Assault on Ben Suc Question

Playing the digital version of this scenario. The six helicopter transports must exit the east edge of the map on turn 2. In the digital game each transport helicopter can first shoot its MG and than exit. I feel the board game rules (SSR1) imply this is not right and the helicopters need to leave right away. Clarification before I report it as a bug or not.

If doing this does not prevent them from exiting the east edge of the map via the most direct route - measured in hexes, then it's OK
 
Suspected that. I was able to fly them adjacent to VC units that were not on a due east path, fire and than exit the map. Will report it to Tom.
