Art Hall asked
Where do I find the screen that comes up when issuing orders about route, ROF, aggro, etc?

  1. Select the order icon
  2. Right click and select Edit Task from the context menu
Access Order Settings.jpg

This will then open the Edit Task dialog:

Dave - In the BFTB demo movie there is a point you are reviewing a Bn's task and determining an assault start time. How do we get that info in CO2?

Can we get an option to have the task pop up come up automatically? Or if once it is up it stays up and laying subsequent tasks shows the new task options? Otherwise, you always have to click three times to give an order....One to place, One to right click, and One to select edit task....

First off, you can have multiple Force Data, Edit Task and View Task dialogs. The first one of these that is opended is termed the "first" dialog. If you select another unit, order or plan task then the data for the current selection will update the date in the first dialog of the appropriate type. So if you open the Edit Task dialog it will display the data for the current selection. Click on another order and it will show the data for the new selected order.

In other words it gives you the same functionality as we used to have with the sidebar.

The View Task dialog shows the data for planTasks. These are tasks the AI has generated for the forces it controls. These are different to the orders you issue. Plan Tasks are coloured Black on grey. So click on a unit, other than one you have given a direct order to, and if it has a current task you should see it's planTask icon.

Then select the planTask. It's icon will change to black on gold. Right click to bring up the context menu.

Select View Task from the menu and it should open the View Task Dialog.
