I noticed a difference in the digital version haven't verified enough yet to be sure (maybe a bug).

My question is the digital version rules the exact same as the boardgame version rulebook?

Yes it should be but the LOS might still be hex based in the digital version for some of the Battle pack, instead of art based in the boardgame. The need to redo the maps to change it to art based and this takes time.

Also some rules changes/clarifications/corrections from v5.1 might not be implemented yet
