Is there a way to edit some of the colours used in the game?

Due to my red-green colour blindness I'm finding a couple of issues with the game.

1) The colours used to differentiate rout status are difficult for me to distinguish.
2) The red text used for flash messages are nearly impossible for me to read against the background of the message box.

Is there any way for me to change these to colours that I can more easily see?

Sorry rjantzi but those are hard coded. I have moved this to new features. Hopefully down the line we can get to this but it won't be soon I'm afraid.
