Multiplayer Game - Unable to connect

Yesterday I tried to play with two members a multiplayer game.

If I, or one of my opponents (both), have tried to 'join', the error message appeared:

If you are accessing through a router then you need to make sure you are using the external IP address and not your internal IP address. You also need to ensure that your router can rout the incoming connection to your specific machine.

One of you has to Host.
We know :meh:

I read the paragraph „Firewalls Internet Connection Sharing & Port Forwarding“ in the manual page 22.
I found no „Port Forwarding“ in my router.
What I found was „Port Mapping“.
„Port Mapping“ looks like very similar the „Port Forwarding“ (at least to me) from the Command Ops Manual.
So I have made here a few settings. I don‘t know really what I'm doing.

Is „Port Forwarding“ and „Port Mapping“ the same?

I was one of those two who tried to join and this by far outreaches my PC knowledge. To be honest. MP should be made more user friendly.

Same here!
And I would like to see a more comprehensive guide (for amateurs).
Where do I find the external IP? (I didn't know that there are multiple IPs)

How to set my router to rout the incoming connection to my specific machine.
I know how to open my router software. What's next then?
