selection issue

I click on my Hussars (they're highlighted ok, so that selection appeared to work) and then right click, select 'force data' and get the nearest enemy company. Repeats each time I try.

Same thing when I double click on them in the OOB:

Quite a bit of time later and the enemy unit has now died.....but if I right click my Hussars I still get the enemy unit data....
