Hello,

I have questions about Buttoned armor :

-their is no rule for Mines : why can't a mine stop an armor ?
-their is no rule for artillery : the high FP can stop or shake, destroy a buttoned i think.

I have LNL HEROES OF STALINGRAD and in a scenarion load on MATRIX GAMES forum, the rules are ok for this.
Why can I find nothing in LNL sery ?

Welcome to the forum!

There are some special rules in some scenarios that have anti tank mines. But in general the mines in the game are anti personnel mines and would not really damage a tank.

Artillery has no effect on a buttoned tank. That's just the way it is in this game.

Resolve Mine attacks against armored vehicles using the
Small Arms vs. Vehicles procedure outlined in 17.2. In
other words, the Mine’s FP + 1d6 is compared to the
vehicle’s lowest armor rating + 1d6. Mine attacks against
unarmored or partially unarmored vehicles use the
procedure outlined in 17.3. The Mines are considered to
attack the unarmored portion of the vehicle.

thank you !

But it's not a good thing : armored vehicules could be immobilized with mines ??
And artillery can be effective against armor.
It was true in Normandy during Cobra

Payen, I'm not sure I understand your question. Yes, mines could stop an armored vehicle (they don't have to be open).

As for artillery not affecting buttoned armored vehicle, I think its is a question of scale. Yes, massive bombardment could destroy vehicle in the long turn but on a typical LNL engagement, the lost of a vehicle to one artillery strike could probably unbalanced scenarios. The game is designed for small scale engagement. And if I,M not mistaken, the god view offered to the player's make artillery strike much more precise than they were in reality.
