arrival of air support

If one side has fixed wing air support scheduled to arrive on a specific turn, and neither side rolls doubles during that turn, does the air support just not show up (i.e. you don't keep checking for it to arrive on future turns)? I am assuming that's the case, but I can't find it stated explicitly in the rules.

Good question, I have exactly that situation and I cannot find the answer in the rules! I have played it that air support can appear in a later turn but not sure that is right!

Yes it can arrive on the turn noted or any later turn, as soon as a doubles is rolled.
