The rules say a captured weapon is lost in melee if the enemy isn't eliminated.

What about close assault with a captured AT weapon? Rules as written don't mention Close Assault specifically. Either from failing the MC to get into it or failing the opposed roll if you do.

You would not lose the captured AT SW if you failed the MC to enter close assault.

The rules don't say that you lose a captured AT weapon if you use it in a close assault and fail. But I would say it's the same as melee, if you choose to use the captured AT SW and fail to destroy the target, then the captured AT SW that you tried to use is removed from play.

Perfectly make sense to me, considering that if you destroy the target, you will be marked with a melee marker
