I read somewhere in the forums that the digital version will be as close to the tabletop version as possible. I believe I also read where certain computer options could be turned off or on as the player wanted. I have enjoyed computer versions of board games before and some have allowed me to even use my own dice rolls and input them instead of using the computer generated dice rolls. Personally, I would like a digital version almost like a mix between Vassal and Heroes of Stalingrad in which I could get an AI opponent and input my own dice rolls, but have the computer compute the movement and LOS and leave the rest to me. Is this a possibility?

No, not really. There are too many places that kind of input would have to be inserted.
