Mark VI

Since the British Mark VI counters was replaced with the Mark IV in the 2nd version of Desert Heat, The Compendium brought back the Mark VI counters the the Formation Marker for them but no scenarios for their use. Maybe we need a 2nd Compendium with more scenarios?

I welcome the inclusion of Mk VI light tanks in the compendium to address several issues with the "Aussie Hold the Line" scenario, where 3 Crusader troops (platoons) appear five months earlier than they were actually available. I'd take the Crusaders away and bring in 3 troops of Mk VI light tanks.

As an aside, it seems the 1st Dragoons (1st Kings Dragoon Guards?) HQ might be an error, as at the time of this battle they were in the middle of converting from Mk VI light tanks to Marmon-Herrington armored cars. On January 24th there might have been one Marmon-Herrington squadron forward with the 7th Armored division, as there's reference to the squadron being attached to Combe force which formed the initial blocking force south of Bengazi. A more appropriate headquarters would be 2RTR, which was a mixed regiment of cruiser tanks and Mk VI light tanks.

Have a great week..
