Mortar SW vs Armored Vehicles

Mortar WTs affect Armored Vehicles by 17.4
I have British 51mm mortar SW and it's not affect armored vehicles, but German 50mm mortar WT does. It's true or I misunderstand rules? Why it's so unfair to SW?

You are correct. There are other differences too, mortar SW does not place FFE marker.

My guess is that they have been modeled differently due to their use. I would guess that the WT has access to a lot more ammunition than the squad with an SW mortar. Therefore they get the FFE marker and have a greater effect on vehicles.

Erik is right on the spot. Also, the mechanic are different (the mortar SW can add the squad IFP, wich a mortar WT does not)
