Doesn't stop/start game always. It does sometimes. If I open, for example, the message tab (it doesn't work, but open it anyway), then I cannot then use spacebar to pause or start the clock. Close the message tab and I can. Other circumstances too.
UPDATE: I see that the main map is somehow being treated as the screen which must be 'active' for the spacebar to work. If you have opened another tab, or clicked on one, then that will be treated as 'active' and the spacebar doesn't work then - you have to make the main map screen active (by clicking on it) to get spacebar functionality back.
