Are the changes in the solo charts from 1.0 to 1.5 compiled anywhere? I rather like the feel of the larger charts but am not clear on if there are any differences between the in-box charts and the ones in the 1.5 PDF.
Same with the 1.5 rules while we're at it. I understand the example of play...
If two vehicles take advantage of Coordinated Movement (Modern 6.5), it seems by rule they would both benefit from the +2 TM for a Vehicle or Wreck counter in the hex. Is that correct?
Feels a little strange but I can't see anything that contradicts that.
On top of that should one of the...
Now that the LnLT reprints/releases have been out for several months, I'd like to hear from LnLP what the plans are for correcting the numerous errors and omissions across the series. Whether it is typos, missing sections from scenarios, counter errors, etc. it isn't clear what LnLP plans are to...
If a unit AMs into a hex and wants to fire does it fire before any OF from the enemy or after?
I couldn't find that in the rules. Of course, I haven't had coffee yet.
If it is the latter, to me that nerfs AM a bit much but oh well.
What does the "*" mean for the OF target number for ATGMs? It doesn't seem to be in the module rules. Many of the ATGMs have an asterisk for short range for the target number.
A lot going on for this counter. "SR?" Another 6 Morale on the back, why?
On the countersheets for Noville Bastogne's Outpost there is a section of counters labelled "Battles to the Rhine." That doesn't seem to be a specific scenario.
What are those counters for?
Admittedly, I've only scanned the module so I may have missed something.
thx
Rules-wise, LAWs don't seem to be one shot SWs. However, I found this via WIkipedia:
The M72 LAW (Light Anti-Tank Weapon, also referred to as the Light Anti-Armor Weapon or LAW as well as LAWS Light Anti-Armor Weapons System) is a portable one-shot 66-mm unguided anti-tank weapon.
Are LAWs...
On the AEO solo cards, there is a section for Priority Orders and a section for Secondary orders. Why is that distinction made? Since one just reads down the card in order that distinction doesn't seem to have any affect on gameplay.
Am I missing something about that distinction?
thx
Our Play by Forum exercise moves to West Germany, 1985 with Heroes Against the Red Star and its Down Time scenario.
I'll be running the Americans via the LnLT Solo AEO while you, the forum community, will run the Soviets. I'll also manage the map via VASSAL and keep things updated here on the...
I'm having fun running the AEO in the Play by Forum game of Assault on Vierville from Heroes of Normandy.
I think I have at least one more game in me to run. Whether you're a player or a lurker which theater would you like to see played next? Expect at least a few vehicles and/or WTs.
Poll...
Let's say a Leader in a hex with a Squad(#1) also activates an adjacent hex with another Squad (#2).
Squad #2 moves and enters a hex with an enemy unit. The Leader with his Squad wants to do the same.
Does the Melee with #2 and the enemy happen first and the Leader + #1 reinforces after or...
I'd like to make an attempt at running a Play by Forum session of LnLT using the venerable Assault of Vierville from Heroes of Normandy. Forum readers can chime in with commands for, in this scenario, the Germans. I'll set up and run the Americans using the LnLT Solo system.
Not quite sure how...
Modern Era 10.2 refers to Buildings and Hills. There is reference to adjacent hexes and different levels of Hills (yes adjacent). There is also reference to adjacent hexes but on different levels of a multi-story building (Not adjacent/No LOS).
What about upper storey of a Building and adjacent...
The victory conditions for River of Perfume (Heroes of the Nam) refer to:
" . . . must control (22.1) five Buildings . . ."
22.1 really speaks to control of hexes not buildings. How does one control a Building?
: Control (as defined by 22.1) of all the hexes, upper levels included, in the...
