Is a Steam install worthwhile?

I purchased and installed the CE and all available DLC on release and am playing version 5.1.28.

So, in your expert opinion, what am I missing by not downloading the Steam version? Is there an up-to-date change log somewhere? I'm far from a veteran player, so might not even notice the changes?

For Me it is,I have both versions lock & load and steam versions,You will notice the difference in 5.31.1 visibility is remarkably different,and you get supply attrition updates,all you have to do is get the steam keys from Your account here.

Thanks, I appreciate the observations. I'll keep both installs. I did finish a pretty big custom Estab, but pretty sure I can just move it over to the Steam folder.
