Two (perhaps rather basic) questions from the Libyan Civil War scenarios

1. Emplacement - what are the effects of this? The rule sets I have (living rules 4.1 Modern and the 4th ed WW2 one) do not seem to cover emplacement (referred to as rule 21.7)

2. Technical RR weaponry - the "Technical RR" truck has a weapon with an HE firepower equivalent of 3, but as it is an unarmoured vehicle which has a shaken reverse side it does not have a to hit table. How should we fire with it?

Many thanks !

Hi Ian,

Just played the first scenario for Days of Villainy and it was a tense and close engagement.

To answer your questions:

1. 21. 7 Tank Emplacements (Heroes of the Gap) Tanks in a defensive position were often dug into an emplacement in order to provide them with extra protection. Emplacements provide no +TM but all hull hits against a tank under an Emplaced marker are negated, and the targeted tank does NOT have to take a Morale Check. Tanks under an Emplaced marker can only move out of the emplacement by reverse movement into one of the three rear hexes. Once a tank has moved out from under an Emplaced marker, the marker is removed form the board. If an Emplaced tank is destroyed, replace the Emplaced marker with a Wreck marker. Emplaced tanks need not be spotted unless required by the other terrain in the hex.

2. The Technical RR was reversed with a Technical that has Machine guns. You can go to the LnL Publishing website and down load the correct counter values.

Enjoyed the scenario and enjoying the LnL system
