Do the weather/rain rules from HOTN specifically The Battle of Long Tan function like the night time rules. Meaning does the initial range to spot and fire get increased if the target unit is marked as fired? Playing the digital version seemed to do that but we didn't pay enough attention to it initially to know for sure and there seemed to be a couple of other range issues that I think were bugs so it was difficult to tell. So I thought I would ask for a Table-top rule clarification. Thanks.

Yes, that is how it should be played. I will admit I've never bothered to fire outside normal range; a -3 on my die is enough to keep me in check :)
