Here is LnLP Official Heroes of Normandy v2.2 Vassal Module. Attached are several screenshots from the Vassal module in play. These show off the new custom UI buttons on the toolbar, which use graphics directly from the LnLT games in some cases, and they are all bigger and flashier than the stock Vassal graphics.

Additional things to look for is our new counter look, now with rounded corners and light shading. The maps and counters are all larger hi-res digital images designed to...

Using the right-click menu or the keyboard shortcut to get a shaken half-squad from a unshaken 1-6-4-5 German squad will get you a 0-5-4 with the ODD option (CTRL W) and a 1-5-4 with the EVEN option (CTRL Q) while the Module rules and scenario booklet tells you it should be te reverse (under 13.3.3)

The shaken 0-0-4 German half-squad generated from a 1-4-4-German squad by using the right click menu or the keyboard shortcut (CTRL Q) cannot be unshaken; it is simply deleted. Strangely enough, if you pull a 0-4-4 half-squad from the Armies box, drag it on the board and then shake it, you can unshake it at will.

As far as I can tell, there is always a slight overlap/gap between maps when a scenario calls for them to be joined by their long side. This is true for HOTM too

Although there is a "Flip" option in the right-click menu for the Wounded marker, there is no flip side ( you get a "image not found" or bad GIF data or somesuch the first time you try it)

Right-clik menu for the British Paratrooper squad offers a Casualites Odd option. Beside the spelling error in Casualites, there is no Odd or Even casualties for this unit in the rules; it always reduce to the same half-squad. Text should simply read Casualties. Again, no real impact in the game, just looks ..odd :)

Updated module has been released to Vassal. Fixed the reported counter issues. However, the map problems will require more time and effort to correct. The maps will have to be cropped and resized from the original artwork, and getting it just right is a somewhat tedious task.

I'll try to find time to work on correcting this, for both HoN and HotM.

Thank you Trent. Another bug I found, that seems to be across all modules (at least HID, HON, HOTF, HOTM and HOTN) is that a shaken SMC will unshake when you use the right-click menu to "wound' it (adding a wounded marker)

When you right-click and choose 'Wounded', two things happen by default; the counter will be flipped to the shaken side; a 'Wound' marker is added to the stack above the affected counter, as per the rules. This trick is done using automatic keystrokes that mimic the hotkeys for the relevant right-click menu commands and they are toggles. So, if you 'Shake' a counter first and then 'Wound' it, the counter is toggled from 'Shaken' to normal and the 'Wound' marker is added to the stack. There may be a better way to design this 'feature'?

NOTE: Obviously, you can still use 'Shaken' from the right-click menu separately, as needed.

It is impossible to use right click to make an Assault move on british paratrooper 1/5/4 in HON.

Thanks for catching this. Assault Move will be added to this counter and the module will be updated to v2.4 shortly.

Any chance the module can be modified so that maps can be rotated and not just flipped? I like to see them as they are laid out in the scenario book. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, there is no option that allows you to rotate maps in Vassal.

Trent,

I've seen it done in other modules. However, what they might be doing is putting 2 versions of the map in there. One in a horizontal orientation, one in a vertical.

Hi,

I was just wondering (really really hoping! :)) that you may be able to include the X-Maps, and where available the 4K X-Maps, in the LnLT vassal modules as they really improve the gameplay experience for me, and, I'm guessing, many others.
