HotN basic Infantry Combat example--incorrect info???

Reading page 61 of Core Rules v4.1 from HotN and see something I believe is not right.

Under Figure 3 it has two issues that need to be looked at:

1--USMC squad using AM to enter LC building,states uses 1 of its 2 MF--according to TEC the squad should use 2MF to enter the building--which is correct? (Am going with the rules and TEC on this.)

2--Dobie San and two VC squads in hex K4 already OF earlier,but are not marked as Fired;in his example it is firing one squad+SMC at the moving USMC squad--is this legal???

Read over this to make sure I did not miss anything (such as next turn starting) so any help on this is appreciated.

1) Should be spends 2 MPs and/or half its MF of 4.

2) I need to check that. Don't have it at hand.
