Two Step Units

I know this has probably already been asked, but I couldn't locate it. I know when a 1-Step unit takes their second hit, they are eliminated. I'm assuming a 2-step unit is eliminated on their third hit.

If an M1 engages a T80 and scores three hits on the first roll, is that considered three hits and the T80 is eliminated? Or is it still considered one hit?

Hi!

1. Yes, a 2-step unit is eliminated on the third hit if it was fresh to start with. See 10.7.1 in the WaW85 Series Core Rules book, REV 66 is the latest PDF version.
2. Do you mean rolling 4 dice and three hit? If the T-80s armor save roll does not negate any hits, then yes, it is three hits and the T-80 is eliminated. (And you check for Rubble/Fire!).
